Julie is interested in investigating the properties of colour, line and shape to develop her own visual language to reflect her life experiences in an abstract way.
Her paintings are informed by perception and evolve and develop intuitively, exploring emotion, memory and feeling, with no pre conceived ideas of the finished work.

Julie has just returned from a visit to Rome. She is exploring images, colour and form in which she can develop a language she can persue into an evolving series.

After a visit to Cornwall in December 2011 Julie has been inspired by the winter Cornish landscape and produced a new series of gouache and oil paintings from the region of St Ives on the North coast to St Michaels Mount on the South.
